The St. Paul Nebraska Educational Foundation was incorporated on February 21, 1989.  One purpose for the formation of the foundation  was to provide a means by which donations could be used for greater educational opportunities within our local school system. Equipment, programs, and other educational opportunities not funded by the school’s budget are eligible for funding by the foundation.  Funds to meet these purposes will come essentially as direct gifts from individuals, memorial contributions, and bequests.  All contributions to the foundation qualify to be tax deductible.

The foundation has also been entrusted to administer scholarships at the request of family estates. The foundation annually award the Gladys Cerney Education Scholarship, the Pauline Lind Fine Arts Scholarship, the Sonderup Educational, and Sonderup Medical Scholarship to local students.

The St. Paul Nebraska Educational Foundation is governed by a board of directors consisting of individuals from Howard County, and its business is conducted in accordance with federal regulations governing tax-exempt educational foundations.  Board of directors include: Roger Wells, Dave Brehm, Sally Einspahr, Kathy LaRoe, Theda Van Horn, Robin Elstermeier, Stan Edwards, Jennifer Christensen, and Dave Snow.

The St. Paul Nebraska Educational Foundation can be your vehicle for providing funds, either large or small, to meet the educational needs that other revenues cannot fulfill in our school system.  All contributions have tax incentives in regard to income tax, estate tax, and gift tax in accordance with federal guidelines governing tax-exempt educational foundations.
